Banana Split Cake

This is my husband’s favorite dessert. His mom use to make it for his birthday every year and now I have taken on the tradition.

Ingredients
  • 4 cups crushed graham cracker
  • 3 sticks butter room temperature
  • 16 ounce powdered sugar
  • 20 ounce crushed pineapple drained
  • 2-3 bananas sliced
  • 12 ounce whipped topping
  • Strawberry and/or chocolate sauce

  • 4 cups crushed graham cracker
  • 3 sticks butter room temperature
  • 16 ounce powdered sugar
  • 20 ounce crushed pineapple drained
  • 2-3 bananas sliced
  • 12 ounce whipped topping
  • Strawberry and/or chocolate sauce
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Crust
  1. mix graham crackers and 1 stick of butter
  2. line bottom and sides of 13x9 in pan with mixture
  3. bake crust for 5 to 8 minutes
Cake
  1. Beat the eggs, 2 sticks of butter and the powdered sugar until fluffy
  2. spread the mixture on cooled crust
  3. add a layer of crushed pineapple and a layer of sliced bananas
  4. cover with with whipped topping
  5. sprinkle with strawberry or chocolate sauce and maraschino cherries or graham crackers
  6. refrigerate for 1 hour
